Long overdue guidelines on the information to be contained in an Environmental Impact Statement were published by the Environmental Protection Agency last month. It is a very useful and informative document, in particular for developers whose projects are subject to EIA directives. It provides clarity on the language to be used and what is to be contained in these reports. It equally will be of benefit to planning authorities when assessing Environmental Impact Assessment Reports during the planning decision process.
Please see below link to the Guidelines. To discuss any aspect of this or any planning query you may have, please make contact with Patrick Kevans.
